Negros Power has completed the scheduled preventive maintenance at the Mt. View Substation in Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City last April 13, 2025. This achievement demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing reliable electricity distribution and efficient service in its franchise area.

The Scope of the Preventive Maintenance at Mt. View Substation

The preventive maintenance at Mt. View substation involved replacing over 100 insulators. Braving the summer sun, linemen also addressed critical hotspot repairs, ensured the substation’s optimal condition, and minimized the risk of unexpected outages.

The maintenance activity, which began at 6:00 AM and concluded by noon, required a temporary power interruption in the areas connected to the substation. Despite the inconvenience, residents appreciated the company’s proactive approach to maintaining a reliable power supply.

“I understand the inconvenience of a temporary power interruption, and seeing how committed the team was—even under the scorching sun—makes me more confident in the company’s direction to improve the service and make our electricity reliable,” said consumer Maria Lopez in local dialect.

“Our goal is to ensure that our facilities are in optimal condition, minimizing unexpected outages and continuously improving the quality of service for our consumers,” Engr. Besana stated.

The company assures its consumers that continuous upgrades and preventive actions will be implemented throughout the coming years to ensure a consistent and safe power supply.
