Negros Power’s December 2025 electricity rates bring a welcome relief to consumers for the holidays, especially after Negros Occidental endured months marked by successive calamities and disruptions. The good news is that households will pay a lower average residential rate of ₱12.0441 per kilowatt-hour this December, down by ₱0.1881 per kWh from November’s ₱12.2322 per kWh. The average residential rate for December 2025 is now: ₱12.0441 / kWh
This reflects a decrease of ₱0.1881 / kWh from last month’s rate of ₱12.2322 / kWh, according to a release from Negros Power.

POWER SUPPLY COST ADJUSTMENTS
WESM Rate Update
From ₱7.6709/kWh to ₱6.0475/kWh
- Decrease of ₱1.6304/kWh
- Lower demand following recent typhoons across the Visayas led to this reduction
- Resulted in a ₱0.4339/kWh decrease in overall generation charges
TRANSMISSION CHARGE ADJUSTMENTS
Ancillary Service Charges
Slight increase from ₱60.2813/kW to ₱62.9213/kW
- Adjustment due to system conditions after the Visayas typhoons
- Equivalent to an increase of around ₱0.1932/kWh for residential consumers
OVERALL IMPACT
Net rate still went down, giving consumers real savings this December 2025.
