Mutya ng Pilipinas NIR 2016 Holds Gown, Swimwear Pre-pageant

The Mutya ng Pilipinas- Negros Island Region (NIR) 2016 held its evening gown and swimsuit pre-pageant competitions at the Antulang Beach Resort in the town of Siaton, Negros Oriental last Saturday, June 18.

Thirteen young ladies from around the region are vying for the 2016 Mutya ng Pilipinas NIR crown on the pageant and coronation night that will be held on Saturday, June 25, at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.

During the gown and swimsuit preliminaries, the candidates sashayed in their designer evening gowns and showed off their body and figure before five judges composed of Bacolod Councilor Em Ang, top PR woman Laarni Aguilar, designer Raymund Fuentes, Ford Negros branch manager Dennis Piccio, and Ms. Faye Lee, whose family owns the Antulang Beach Resort. The pre-pageant preliminaries was also witnessed by the tourism officers of the different cities and municipalities of Negros Oriental.

The ladies competing for the coveted crown are Risa Erna Trestiza, Jessa Helbolario, Ma. Lyn Agriam, Reina Amor Gomez, Renelyn Deguit, Jianne Althea Germudo, Fercy Lyn Almaiz, Kizza Mae De La Cruz, Rina Setinta, Allen Gigante, Mae Lourine Mercado, Arriadna Yjan, and Chainee May Ang.

The winner in the Best in Swimsuit will be announced during the pageant night on Saturday, during which the candidates will also be wearing a new set of evening gowns for the Best in Gown competition. The grand winner in this search will represent the NIR in the national competition of Mutya ng Pilipinas.
