Gerry’s Grill Bacolod
There are many good things to eat at Gerry’s Restaurant and Bar. This Bacolod restaurant is may not be homegrown but we have patronized them here in Bacolod and also in Cebu. Among the good food that they serve, these are the ones you must try at Gerry’s Grill Bacolod.
Gerry’s Grill has been in the food business for 20 years, grilling goodness all over the country and even abroad. But here in our city, Gerry’s Grill Bacolod opened their newest branch now known as Gerry’s Restaurant and Bar only last April 25 at SM City Bacolod north wing. They now have a total of 87 stores in the Philippines and six in the international scene. They have branches in Hawaii, two in California, two in Singapore, and one in Qatar.
Gerry’s Grill Difference
So what makes Gerry’s Grill different from the many Bacolod restaurants offering grilled stuff? For one, they have classic and elegant wooden interiors and friendly, well-trained staff. Two, they are conveniently located inside the mall so you can go there after some time of malling. Third, they are more than just a grill restaurant and they have lots of mouth-watering Filipino dishes to offer.
Top 4 Dishes at Gerry’s Grill Bacolod
The top three bestsellers at Gerry’s Grill Bacolod are Sizzling Pork Sisig, Crispy Pata, and Inihaw na Pusit. But I would add to that roster–their creamy Pancit Palabok, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Pork Sisig
The pork sisig of Gerry’s Grill is not like the one that Bacolodnons are used to, where the pork is quite soft and the sisig is saucy or oily. The only crisp stuff you get are the ligaments naturally found on the pig’s mask. At Gerry’s Grill Bacolod, theirs is kinda toasty and the crushed chicharon on top adds to the crunchiness of this dish. Pang pulutan, if I may say!
Crispy Pata
Savor the crispy pata of Gerry’s Grill Bacolod that has tender and juicy meat on the inside and crispy skin on the outside–just the way we all like it. Not for the faint of heart though. Hinay-hinay lang (eat moderately) as it is summer time.
Inihaw na Pusit
Enjoy this giant saucy grilled squid at Gerry’s Grill Bacolod that’s so tender and flavorful. My husband especially loves this dish.
Pancit Palabok
I especially like the pancit palabok of Gerry’s Grill Bacolod because it has lots of garnish and is soooo creamy. So good! 😀
Other dishes they serve at Gerry’s Grill Bacolod that are also very good are Spanish style bangus, seafood tinomok, chicharon liempo, pancit guisado, sizzling tokwa con carne, calamares, spicy sashimi, chicken skin, nilagang bulalao, sinigang na bangus bell or hipon, sisig kilaw, and so much more! They have an extensive menu and everything is good. All are Filipino-inspired dishes that Gerry’s Grill has enhanced.
So if you are on a limited budget or just need a few dishes, these are some you should include in your order. 😀
