This pre-Valentine Benefit Dinner is for Baby Gio’s operations.

I am dedicating this post to our good friends, the Villarosa family here in Bacolod City. Daphne Demabildo-Villarosa and Roy Ian Ayco Villarosa are raising funds for the surgical procedures that Baby Gio’s needs. The series of surgeries are supposed to correct Gio’s cleft lip and palate.

Pre-Valentine Benefit Dinner for Baby Gio

In line with this, they are holding a fund-raising pre-Valentine dinner on February 7, 2015, 6:30pm. It will be held at Mely’s Garden, located at 6th-Lacson Street, Bacolod City. Entertainment will be provided by Angelica Prado of The Voice Season 1 and Aire Acoustic.

Part of the proceeds of this benefit dinner will go to a movement they are starting called “Love in a Bottle.” It is a campaign aimed to buy feeding bottles that are specially designed for newborns with clefts.

If you want to support this family, tickets to the dinner are at P500 each. You may contact Daphne and Ian at these numbers: 0923-9634436 or 0923-2332355.

I would also like to give way to Daphne’s own words:

“You may ask, why do we need to raise funds for Gio’s surgery. People tell us that there are organizations that sponsor free operations for clefts.

“Unfortunately for us, we were told we won’t qualify as beneficiary of charity medical missions. My husband Ian has work and only indigent patients can be accommodated.

“But no matter how much Ian would work overtime, we can’t raise the needed amount for Gio’s operations in two months. But I know that with the collective support of our friends and family, we’ll be able to gather enough to defray baby Gio’s medical expenses.

“I am trusting God for another miracle through our network of friends and family. Thank you and God bless!”
