Sharyn’s Cansi House Silay is now open
The well-loved Sharyn’s Cansi House of Bacolod is now in Silay City, Negros Occidental. Sharyn’s Cansi House Silay is located along the highway, Rizal Street (near the Motoposh Building), Brgy. Guinhalaran.
Bacolod Cansi Soup
So much like the original Sharyn’s Cansi House in Narra Avenue, Capitol Shopping Center, Bacolod City, Sharyn’s Cansi House Silay offers the same brand of cansi (beef shoulder cut) soup flavored by the sour fruit called batuan. The taste of the Bacolod cansi soup is distinct because of the batuan. The batuan tree only grows around the province, which is the reason why a lot of our dishes here use this souring agent.
You may notice that the flavor here may be milder and you can attribute that to the personal taste of the owner. One bowl of Bacolod cansi soup here is only P240. It comes with an extra bowl of soup upon serving para pang-higop. But if you want more soup, they just charge a minimal fee of P5 per additional bowl.
The Sharyn’s Cansi House Silay is owned by our good friends, the lady after whom the business was named after, Sharyn and her husband Cloyd Verdeflor and we visited them for their soft opening. It is not among the grandest Silay restaurants, just an old home now converted into a cansihan.
Aside from the cansi soup, they also have turo-turo fast food dishes for the day.
They are still perfecting their system but you can already enjoy their hot Bacolod cansi soup from 7am to 10pm daily. So I hope you will be forgiving about the place. We will just update this post when they have finished setting up the place.
So if you are going to catch a flight at the Bacolod-Silay International Airport and you missed a bowl of Bacolod cansi soup from among of our many Bacolod restaurants, know that you can have it here at the Sharyn’s Cansi House Silay, which is just along the way to the airport. Since they open early and close late, you know that you can have your soup here no matter what time your flight is.
