Straight Up: Seda Hotel Bacolod’s New Roofdeck Bar

Experience a new nightlife scene in Bacolod City with the formal opening of Straight Up — the roofdeck bar of Seda Hotel Bacolod.

Seda Hotel Bacolod is the newest national hotel chain to open in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. Among all Bacolod hotels, it is the one that is conveniently located in Central Bacolod, surrounded by a bustling restaurant and business scene. It is also just beside the Bacolod Capitol Lagoon and park–a popular hangout of locals.

Straight Up Roofdeck Bar

Straight Up is the roofdeck bar of Seda Hotel Bacolod. It’s on top of seven hotel floors, so it has a pretty view of the lagoon and the surrounding areas.

At the roofdeck bar, there is an airconditioned area, a small function room, and an open air lounge area. There is DJ-curated music for everyone’s enjoyment.

The bar is for all guests to enjoy. Most especially, it is a place for where the Seda Bacolod hotel guests can hang out to unwind after a long day.

At the Straight Up Bar, Seda Hotel Manager Rhett Villaruz said that hotel guests can enjoy the apericena pre-dinner buffet with just an order or a mocktail or a cocktail.

Private Functions

Portions of the roofdeck bar may be closed for private functions. However, Mr. Villaruz said that they cannot make the whole area exclusive for any occasion because primarily, the bar is for the Seda Hotel guests to enjoy. It is the one place that guests can chill out in at the end of the day.

Banquets at Seda Hotel

I have personally attended several events at Seda Hotel Bacolod and so far, my husband and I have enjoyed the food. We have enjoyed merienda cena and dinners here. Kudos to the F and B team for designing great banquets.

During the opening party of Straight Up Bar, we relished the buffet of about 50 dishes from appetizers to desserts. Honestly, I have not tried their food at the ground floor restaurant name Saboroso. We have a lot of homegrown Bacolod restaurants so I was not able to bring myself to go there yet.

Therefore I cannot comment on their ala carte menu. As for the banquets, Seda Hotel Bacolod does it pretty well.
