PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc (Smart) Support the Return of “Pasigarbo sa Sugbo”

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) are supporting the return of “Pasigarbo sa Sugbo”. It is one of the Province of Cebu’s grandest celebrations that had been dubbed, “the festival of festivals”.

What is Pasigarbo sa Sugbo?

Organized by the Provincial Government of Cebu, Pasigarbo sa Sugbo showcases the various festivals of the province’s municipalities and component cities, promoting the rich culture and best products of Cebu.

PLDT and Smart initially turned over free SIM cards with load allocation to the organizers to support the communication needs of all participating local government units. Apart from this, PLDT and Smart will also boost with fiber connectivity the Cebu City Sports Center, catering to the requirements of the organizers and enabling the seamless livestreaming of the event.

The ceremonial turnover was joined by Cebu Province Governor Gwen Garcia (center), and from left, PLDT and Smart Stakeholder Management-Visayas Relations Head Marylou Gocotano, PLDT Enterprise Visayas Head Kent De La Calzada, Smart Regional Customer Development Center Head/AVP for Central-Eastern Visayas Alexis Winters, and Smart Regional Customer Development Senior Manager for Central Visayas Lailane Husain-Go.

PLDT and Smart provide fiber, LTE, and 5G services to millions of people, homes, businesses, and communities in Cebu, supporting the digital needs of the province and those of its cities and municipalities.
