Panaad sa Negros Festival 2025 is set to bring another vibrant celebration of Negrense culture, heritage, and progress. Known as the “Festival of Festivals,” this highly anticipated annual event gathers all the towns and cities of Negros Occidental in a grand showcase of local traditions, culinary delights, and stunning performances. Scheduled to take place at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City, the festival promises an exciting lineup of activities, including cultural dances, trade fairs, and the much-awaited float and festival dance competitions. The festival was officially opened yesterday at the Capitol Lagoon and Park and was led by Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson.

The Panaad sa Negros Festival 2025

With the theme, “The Future Unfolds”, the Panaad sa Negros Festival 2025 was launched February 28, 2025 at the Capitol Lagoon here in Bacolod City. Gov. Bong Lacson led the opening and thanked the provincial and LGU officials who graced the affair. Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer said that this year will be his last Panaad Festival, as he is approaching the end of his term. However, he pledged to continue supporting the governor and the events or projects of Negros Occidental.

“Panaad sa Negros Festival has always been more than a festival. It has been a symbol of our heritage, a showcase of our resilience, and a testament to our shared aspirations,” Gov. Lacson said. “It is here that every town and city of Negros Occidental come together bringing together the best of their traditions, products, and stories that define who we are as Negrenses.”

Most of the activities of the Panaad sa Negros Festival 2025 will be held at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

Another big event is the folk dance competition. This is the Cadiz City ensemble — last year’s grand prize winner.

Sashing of the Lin-ay Sang Negros 2025

Part of the launch was the sashing of the official candidates of the Lin-ay sang Negros 2025 candidates. They were presented to the public donning modest white tops and gray skorts. Their respective local government officials pinned the sashes on them as official candidates to the much-anticipated pageant.

There will be pre-pageant events in different venues before the coronation night on March 28, 2025, which is expected to be a world-class spectacular event that will be held at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

There are a total of 27 candidates vying for the much-coveted crown as Queen of the Province of Negros Occidental.

Gov. Bong thanked the stakeholders for their support and hard work, “With just a few weeks until our much-anticipated festival, I extend my gratitude to everyone working behind the scenes.”
