Nonna’s Kitchen
serves Bacolod comfort food in a
delightful restaurant. #Bacolodeats
There are certain restaurants in Bacolod that you cannot put under just one classification. They serve a collection of many different kinds of dishes that appeal to the palate of the local folk, which are not bound by any cuisine, whether puritan or fusion.
One such go-to Bacolod restaurant for your all-time favorite meals is Nonna’s Kitchen. Located at Villa Angela Hi Strip 4, Circumferential Road, Bacolod City, Nonna’s Kitchen serves great-tasting dishes that you always love or that you crave for, such as sate babe, rice toppings, sizzlers, and all-day breakfast at prices that are easy on the pocket. They are open from 7am to 10pm, so even after-dinner hours and you want some tocino or bangus tinapa with rice and egg, you can have it. They also have Japanese specials like chicken nono (Oyakudon), chicken teriyaki, Japanese egg cake, and Japanese chicken curry.

Their restaurant is a quaint cafe full of curios as well as plants all around that it is quite refreshing to dine there, whether during the day or the night. They have an air conditioned area as well as an open dining space for those who would rather smoke or just dine in a garden setting but with a roof over your heads. If you take seats near the glass walls, you will have a nice view of the landscape outside the Hi Strip 4, which I find rather relaxing.
But aside from the meals, Nonna’s has a collection of some of the most delightful desserts and coffee creations. After a heavy lunch with family and friends, you can linger on with the conversation by enjoying some sweets and capping your meal with a hot or cold beverage. Or you can be alone and enjoy your serenity while reading a book and sipping your favorite drink.
