The Negros Electric and Power Corporation (Negros Power) successfully conducted its PaKAPE Program yesterday, April 16, 2026, at the Minuluan Hall, Talisay City. It brought together 27 barangay officials and captains from across the city.

Introduction of the System Loss Reduction Program

A key highlight of the program was the presentation of the System Loss Reduction Program, led by Engr. Edwin Montemayor. During his discussion, Engr. Montemayor emphasized the importance of minimizing system losses through community cooperation, stricter monitoring of illegal connections, and continuous infrastructure improvements.

In addition, Negros Power shared its latest accomplishments, outlining ongoing projects and service enhancements aimed at delivering more reliable and efficient electricity to consumers. These include upgrades in distribution facilities, faster response to outages, and strengthened partnerships with local government units.

Hon. Jenalyn Magbanua, Barangay Captain of Brgy. Dos Hermanas, expressed her support for the initiative. She highlighted the importance of collaboration between the community and the power provider.
