Quino’s Cakes and Cupcakes of Bacolod City majors on the things that make life sweeter–customized fondant and specialty cakes, designer cupcakes, blended drinks in glass jars, dessert tables, and now, homemade ice cream! Yes, they are all about making sweet memories and it is evident in everything that they deliver.

And I think that they are the only ones in Bacolod City that serve sandwiches on wooden boards where your name is written using chocolate ganache. How sweet and memorable is that? Yes, in terms of making their clients feel food, they are experts in the field.

Owned by John and Ann Ledesma, the Quino’s shop has been around for only a little over a year as of this writing. But the name has been quite popular because they started doing personalized fondant cakes and dessert tables for friends and their referrals for about five years now. John relates that they prayed for a business that his wife, Ann, who had just given birth to their first child Quino, could handle while allowing her to stay at home and take care of their son. That was when Quino’s was started.

Ann is a registered nurse by profession but never got to practice it. Instead, she taught at the Christian Academy of Bacolod. But she dabbled in baking and cake decorating on the side because that is her passion. And that is the passion that fueled this sweet business.

John reveals that it is their vision to become a premier food tourism destination in Bacolod City. Because of that, they constantly improve and develop new things in order to provide premium customer service and deliver new products to their customers. They want to be able to make great memories with everyone. He also added that they are guided by five core values, which are their Faith in God, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation. “Everything we do revolves around our mission/vision and core values,” John adds. What an inspiring story! A business that puts God first and strives for excellence!

A few months ago, they opened the Quino’s Secret Garden behind the shop. Patrons can dine al fresco and be entertained by an acoustic band. Even the kids had their play area. But I learned recently that they had to temporarily close off the area until further notice because of some construction going on and the erratic weather. Too bad, I liked it there. It was a really nice place to build nice and wholesome memories with friends and family that you can look back to.

Quino’s Secret Garden–who wouldn’t fall in love with a place like this?
Even the kids had their own special spot.
So here’s my husband amongst our friends. And I couldn’t be in it because I took the photo. haha
