The Philippines is in an uproar because we have finally bagged our first Olympic gold medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. This is just the sweetest news that we have gotten so far since the pandemic broke out last year. And to celebrate her success, Megaworld leads the bandwagon as they gift Olympic Gold Medalist Hidilyn Diaz with a P14-M condo unit in Eastwood City.
Olympic Gold Medalist Hidilyn Diaz will Come Home to a New Condo Unit
Megaworld, the property empire of tycoon Dr. Andrew L. Tan, announced today that it is giving a residential condominium unit in Eastwood City to Filipino Olympic Gold Medalist Hidilyn Diaz. This is following her historic win in the Tokyo Olympics that gave the Philippines its first-ever Olympic gold medal.
“This epic moment is about 97 years in the making. And this is our way of saying thanks to Hidilyn for making us all proud. We believe that it’s just right to give our first-ever Olympic gold medalist a home in our first-ever township, Eastwood City, where she can enjoy the township lifestyle with her family and loved ones.” This was excitedly shared by Kevin L. Tan, chief strategy officer, Megaworld Corporation.
Appearing in her fourth consecutive Olympics, the 30-year-old Diaz set an Olympic weightlifting record in the women’s 55-kilogram event. She lifted a whopping total of 224 kilograms!
With the win, she is currently the most decorated Filipino Olympian in history with two recognitions under her name. If you can remember, Ms. Diaz previously won a silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
More Gifts for Hidilyn
Aside from government incentives, many private corporations in the Philippines have also committed to gifting our first Olympic gold medalist. That includes a one-year supply of Pau Liniment for her body pains.
After all the physical and emotional hardships as well as financial difficulties that she went through in order to reach the gold, she deserves all these. But by far the most exciting is coming home to a lovely new condo unit in a very posh township by Megaworld.
Mabuhay ka, Hidilyn!
