KonsultaMD Provides 30-day Free Medical Advice to the Public

For 30 days, KonsultaMD is offering the public free access to medical advice through its telemedicine hotline. This will complement existing government efforts in managing the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines.

Free KonsultaMD Subscription

The free KonsultaMD subscription is open until April 13, 2020 to anyone without existing membership. They may call 78880 via Globe or TM mobile phone. Or dial (02) 77988000 via Globe landline, other landline in Metro Manila, and other mobile networks.

This is especially helpful during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in relation to the Covid-19 outbreak. It is just so hard to go out even for a check up without risking the patient and the driver.

KonsultaMD is a 24/7 health hotline service manned by skilled and licensed Filipino doctors. They provide medical assessment and advice, including basic healthcare and permissible medication, over the phone.

Why Teleconsultation is In

Teleconsultation is in demand due to the limited capacity of medical institutions compared to the fast-growing number of people needing immediate medical attention. The Department of Health is looking at telemedicine, particularly primary care teleconsultation, to alleviate surge and minimize risks from unnecessary visits to hospitals.
