Valentine’s Day?

Cafe Molinos Bacolod
Fancy spending a cool afternoon until the evening under this setting? Then visit Cafe Molinos.

Cafe Molinos may be a good place for your casual date. This newly opened three-storey Bacolod cafe features a coffee shop on the ground floor, a function room that seats up to 70 on the second floor, and a roof deck to catch the sunset. You may opt to have dinner here or just have a relaxing night cap while the cool breeze wafts around.

Aside from function room at the second floor, they also have a smaller area for al fresco dining under the mango tree. It’s just so comfortable. And quite private, too.

Cozy nook on the second floor. Can be for smoking guests, too.

The kids found the roof deck very relaxing. Here we are waiting for the sunset, which was kinda shy that afternoon.

Cafe Molinos specializes in different kinds of hot and cold coffees, short order snacks, meals, cakes, and even breads that they bake fresh daily. I especially like their hand-tossed pizza and spaghetti. Their breads are pretty good, too, especially the cinnamon rolls. And oh, I love their brownies, too, topped with a generous layer of nuts. I cannot comment on the other dishes and drinks as I have not tried them yet.

What I also like about Cafe Molinos is that they have clean rest rooms on the ground and second floor that have running water and “undiluted” hand soap. That is very important for me.

So, if you are looking for a new place to hang out in the east area after a long day or you just want to go out of your way to find a new place, or you live quite far away and you don’t want people you know seeing you on a date, go check out Cafe Molinos. It’s located behind Savemore Fortunetowne. Just take a right on the road beside Savemore (going north) and then take a left on the first bend. You will not miss this towering building on this street.
