Domestic tourism has been one of the most severely affected industries when the Covid-19 pandemic hit in early 2020. But as vaccinations have continued, borders have also been slowly opening. Cebu Pacific fully supports the Department of Tourism’s push for local tourism and responsible travel. Together, they aim for domestic travel recovery in the 4th quarter of 2021.
More Cebu Pacific Flights for Domestic Travel Recovery
Starting October 2021, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) will increase its flights to tourism havens like Siargao, Boracay, and Bohol. The country’s leading airline is pushing for domestic travel recovery, following the easing of quarantine restrictions in many areas around the Philippines.
Here are the details:
- Siargao – from five times to six times weekly
- Boracay – from four to five times daily
- Bohol – from nine to 10 times
“We believe reopening domestic travel and the promotion of responsible travel is critical to rebuilding the trust and travel confidence in the industry.” This was said by Candice Iyog, Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience at Cebu Pacific, during an online event.
