A Born Hotelier

The hospitality industry seems to have been made for Armand Angeles. Its attraction to him felt like metal shards that easily stick to a magnet.

But this didn’t come immediately. His first dream was to become a chef. “I had and still have a deep passion for food. The feelings that great food evokes in people is something I always wanted to be a part of,” Angeles recalls.

While living and studying in Edinburgh, Angeles looked up to Scottish chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Tom Kitchin and Martin Wishart. “My first job was in a kitchen, washing dishes and big pots and pans. I would also prep the ingredients such as peeling carrots, onions and potatoes.”

I still love to cook and when I can I always prepare food for my friends and family,” he says.

  1. I really enjoyed reading the whole article. There’s so much to learn. This quotation hits me hard, “You’re treated as a member of the family more than an employee. You’re also allowed to grow both professionally and as a person.” Thanks for sharing momsh.
