Mr. Armand Angeles recently took over the helm of Seda Capitol Central in Bacolod City as Hotel Manager. He traded places with Mr. Rhett Villaruz who is now with Seda Centrio in Cagayan de Oro City.
Armand Angeles Leads Seda Capitol Central
Now entering their third year in business in Bacolod City, Seda Capitol Central has a new Hotel Manager.
Young as he was, Armand Angeles was already the Hotel Manager of Seda Centrio in Cagayan de Oro City before the lateral transfer.
He first joined Seda Hotels in 2012. Angeles tells of the hotel chain, “Seda is a company where employees come first. The workplace culture that Seda has cultivated over the years is unrivaled,” Angeles says.
He further reveals that the Seda culture can already be felt the moment you sit down for your first interview to the first day on the job. “You’re treated as a member of the family more than an employee. You’re also allowed to grow both professionally and as a person.”
A Born Hotelier
The hospitality industry seems to have been made for Armand Angeles. Its attraction to him felt like metal shards that easily stick to a magnet.
But this didn’t come immediately. His first dream was to become a chef. “I had and still have a deep passion for food. The feelings that great food evokes in people is something I always wanted to be a part of,” Angeles recalls.
While living and studying in Edinburgh, Angeles looked up to Scottish chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Tom Kitchin and Martin Wishart. “My first job was in a kitchen, washing dishes and big pots and pans. I would also prep the ingredients such as peeling carrots, onions and potatoes.”
Nevertheless, Angeles says that, “I wasn’t cut out to work in a professional kitchen. So I moved out on to the restaurant floor as a waiter where I found I was able to combine my love for food and looking after people. I still love to cook and when I can I always prepare food for my friends and family,” he says.
What to Expect with Seda Capitol Central
Now that Seda Capitol Central is under new leadership, Bacolodnons are asking about what Mr. Armand Angeles can bring to the Bacolod hotel industry.
“Our goal is for Seda Capitol Central to be the market leader in Bacolod,” Angeles bravely states. “We want to be at the forefront of everyone’s mind whenever they ask themselves ‘where do we stay?, ‘where do we eat?’ or ‘where do we go for a night out?’.”
Moreover, Angeles discloses that they want their guests to have a seamless experience at all their touchpoints. “I want Seda Capitol Central to be synonymous with great service, even better people, and the home of Filipino hospitality.”
