The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), one of the largest banking institutions in the country, teamed up with sister company Globe Telecom, in holding the BPI-Globe Media Appreciation Night tonight, October 24, 2014, at the L’Fisher Chalet, Bacolod City. We were told that they skipped doing this last year in light of Typhoon Yolanda, where their companies were involved much in the relief and rehabilitation operations in affected areas.

The event was graced by officers of BPI and Globe and attended by members of the print, broadcast, and social media of Bacolod City who were all in a jovial mood, gamely joining the games. A lot of prizes were raffled off, including travel bags, BPI gift cards, and grocery packs. The major prizes of the night were gadgets from Globe and the surprise cash prizes from BPI. We also enjoyed a sumptuous buffet dinner by L’Fisher.

A live acoustic band serenaded us for the night.

As part of the Negrense Blogging Society, Inc., hubby and I were privileged to be invited. It was a night of fun, games, fellowship, and lots of surprises for everybody–thanks to the generous sponsors BPI and Globe–two of the top brands in the country today under the Ayala Group of Companies.

NBSI President Ed Joven, my kumare Glady Reyes, and I joined one of the parlor games along with other members of the media.
Hubby and I had been especially blessed tonight, winning a number of raffle prizes. 😀

Hubby and I were blessed to have won in the raffle. But even for those who did not win, nobody went home empty-handed because each one was given a bag full of goodies as well as a planner that will help guide us in rehabilitating our financial health.

But perhaps one of the bonuses that happened tonight was the happening before the party–a financial wellness talk given by one of the BPI officers. It was an eye-opener or a refresher, depending on where you are at in your financial status, and I was happy to have attended it. They decided to add this part in the media appreciation night because they give this talk to others and they thought that they might do it as well to the members of the media. And yes, we greatly appreciate it the financial advice.

So again, thank you very BPI and Globe for appreciating the members of the media here in Bacolod. Thank you for a great event! 😀

Thank you for these nice gifts! 😀
