Even during this time of remembrance for Undas 2026, Negros Power remains committed to keeping communities powered and ready to serve.
As thousands of families are expected to visit cemeteries and memorial parks for the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, Negros Electric and Power Corporation (Negros Power) is putting its Undas 2026 Contingency Plan in place on November 1 and 2 to ensure reliable electricity services and provide immediate assistance in case of power-related concerns.
The plan focuses on maintaining the reliability of power distribution facilities and ensuring that technical personnel are ready to respond, particularly in areas expected to experience increased public activity.
Undas 2026: Negros Power Response Teams Deployed Across Eight Operational Areas
As part of its preparations, Negros Power has assigned response teams across eight operational areas covering Bacolod City, Talisay City, Silay City, and Bago City.
Personnel will be deployed in two shifts to ensure round-the-clock coverage. The morning shift will run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., while the evening shift will cover 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

In Bacolod City, teams will monitor major public and private cemeteries, including Bacolod North Public Cemetery, Bacolod South Public Cemetery in Handumanan, Rolling Hills Cemetery, Palm Heaven Cemetery, Chinese Cemetery, Rose Lawn Cemetery, Bacolod Memorial Park, Sanctuario de Bacolod, and Forest Lake Memorial Park.
Other response teams will cover Talisay Public Cemetery and Heaven’s Gate Cemetery; Silay Public Cemetery, Daan Pari Cemetery, and Lasting Peace Cemetery; and Bago City Cemetery.
Standby Teams for Faster Response
Aside from the teams assigned to specific locations, Negros Power will also position standby personnel in strategic areas to ensure faster assistance when needed.
These standby teams will cover the areas of Bacolod, Talisay-Silay, and Bago-Murcia.
Engr. Mervin Dalian, AVP for Network Development and Operations of Negros Power, emphasized the importance of having personnel ready throughout the two-day observance.
“We have prepared our response teams and identified strategic standby locations to ensure that we can immediately address any power-related concerns during the Undas observance. Our teams will be monitoring critical areas, particularly cemeteries and memorial parks where we expect increased public activity. We want to ensure that our distribution facilities remain reliable and that our personnel are ready to respond whenever needed,” Dalian said.
Transformer Inspection and Monitoring
Aside from deploying personnel, Negros Power will also conduct transformer inspections and monitoring in identified cemetery areas.
The activity will cover distribution transformers with capacities ranging from 10 kVA to 50 kVA, depending on the location. These inspections and monitoring activities are intended to help ensure the safety and reliability of power distribution facilities throughout the observance.
Keeping Communities Powered During Undas 2026
Through these coordinated preparations, Negros Power aims to maintain reliable electricity services while ensuring that its technical teams are ready to address possible concerns in areas with increased public activity.
As families gather to remember and honor their departed loved ones, Negros Power continues to prioritize service reliability, operational readiness, and public safety.
Even during this time of remembrance, the company remains committed to keeping communities powered and ready to serve.
