Negros Power fulfilled its promise to Hda. Imbang Mesa after maintaining a full year without disconnections.
Residents of Hda. Imbang Mesa in Brgy. Bagtic, Silay City, celebrated a meaningful and joyful fiesta last May 8 as Negros Power fulfilled its promise to the community after maintaining a full year without disconnections. This was the goal achieved among all 120 households in the area.
A Beneficiary of the Sitio Electrification Program
The sitio, which became part of Negros Power’s Sitio Electrification Program, was energized, providing reliable electricity to families who previously had limited access to power services. As part of the initiative launched last year, Negros Power challenged the community to maintain good standing and avoid disconnections for one year. In return, the company pledged to provide a special gift during their fiesta celebration.
True to its commitment, Negros Power awarded a cash prize to the community this year, which residents used to help fund their fiesta activities and strengthen their community celebration.
According to Engr. Leomel H. Tambanillo, AVP for Planning, Business Operations, and the Sitio Electrification Program, and Negros Power Spokesperson, said the community’s achievement reflects the importance of unity, discipline, and cooperation among consumers.
“We are very happy to see that the residents of Hda. Imbang Mesa valued this opportunity and worked together for one whole year without disconnections. This only proves that when the community cooperates, everyone benefits,” Engr. Tambanillo said.
He also emphasized that Negros Power continues to support communities not only through electrification projects but also by encouraging responsible electricity consumption and partnership with consumers.
“This is more than just a cash prize. It symbolizes our appreciation to the people of Imbang Mesa for their commitment and trust in Negros Power. We hope this inspires other communities as well,” he added.
Expressions of Gratitude
Meanwhile, Joshua Arsenal, a resident of Hda. Imbang Mesa expressed his gratitude to Negros Power for fulfilling its promise to the community and for continuously supporting the residents of the sitio.

Residents expressed their gratitude to Negros Power for keeping its promise and for continuously supporting the development of their community. The fiesta celebration became even more memorable as the community celebrated not only their annual tradition but also a year of cooperation, progress, and reliable electricity service.
