Please give Time Please

Globe and Disney team up for Time Please, a nationwide volunteering program. The partners promote the sharing acts of kindness among individuals and organizations around the Philippines.

Globe Telecom and The Walt Disney Company Philippines announced a major collaboration to promote volunteerism and good will among Filipinos.

“Time Please” Movement

The two companies worked together to launch “Time Please”, a nationwide volunteering program that encourages all Filipinos, including companies and organizations to provide volunteer work. They are encouraged to participate in existing volunteer programs or start their own.

The campaign supports Globe’s commitment to nine of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It appeals to the strong culture of volunteerism among Filipinos that is rooted to our bayanihan spirit.

Volunteer Matching Portal

In the volunteer matching portal, www.timeplease.ph, Time Please strives to match individuals and groups of volunteers with various volunteering activities available in the country.

Meanwhile, companies and organizations or even groups that have existing volunteer programs can also enlist their activities in the platform. You can then get your volunteer hours registered in this initiative.

Filipinos Love to Volunteer

The Philippines ranked 7th for the highest number of people worldwide volunteering their time in various causes. This is according to the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) World Giving Index 2017.

The volunteer activities are mobilized by various sectors, such as NGOs, government agencies like the DENR, CSR initiatives of companies, foundations, schools, and even the private sector.

Choices at Time Please 

The Time Please campaign provides a robust menu of volunteering activities. It unites the volunteering ecosystem by connecting the volunteers to volunteer organizations. It uses a simple, convenient, and easy to understand web platform.

Using any device with online access, individuals around the Philippines can now sign up for free. They can also form groups in order to join the volunteer activities enrolled in Time Please.

Volunteerism Rewards: Trip to HK

Volunteering your time and effort to show kindness has all kinds of emotional, mental, spiritual, and psychological rewards. But with this campaign, you will get more than that.

Mechanics:

Time Please will run from May 25 to August 19, 2018. It is open to all Filipino individuals who are willing and capable to do volunteer work. Each group should have a minimum of two (2) and maximum of (4) members. The group should also nominate a team leader who is at least 18 years of age. He or she should have an active Globe or TM number that will be used to register the group in the portal.

The group with the most number of volunteer hour credits at the end of the program will win an all-expense paid trip for four (4) to Hong Kong Disneyland. Yeah, just like that. As an example, Bacolod bloggers teamed up and had fun while preparing care packages for school kids.
