As many people know, hubby and I are always on the lookout for romantic comedy films that can entertain us and also make us feel good after watching them. Well, even if he doesn’t like it, at least hubby does it for me because he wants me to feel good. LOL
And then we chanced upon When in Rome, a lighthearted romantic flick starring Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel (waaaaa he’s sooooo handsome!).
The couple are Americans who met in funny circumstances in Rome when Kristen’s sister in the movie, played by Alexis Dziena. The hopelessly romantic and klutzy character of Kristen in the movie ends her making a wish in the magical well in front of the church. They say it is called the “love fountain”. It is like one of those garden water fountains, except that this one grants wishes made out of love.
Anyway, it is one crazy ride for Bell’s character but you know how these stories end. hehe I think that both actors are gorgeous except that Bell is a little too short for the towering Duhamel, much like my husband and I. While it is fine in real life, I think it was kinda hard putting them together in a single shot like kissing and all because Duhamel has to bend down much while Bell has to stand on tip-toe.
But well, this movie made me happy and swoon over Duhamel. hahaha
When in Rome is directed by Mark Steven Johnson, co-written by Johnson, David Diamond as well as David Weissman, and starring Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel. It premiered in the United States on January 29, 2010.
