So we finally got to watch The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) starring Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), and Rhys Ifans (Dr. Kurt Connors/The Lizard).
We left our daughter Dindin with the helper so that hubby and I can have our movie date at the cinema this time. It is our couple’s time. It is way past my birthday now. We just got so busy and didn’t have the time to do it during my birthday week.
So what can I say about the movie? Well, although my husband says that the storyline is quite accurate as it was in the comics, I cannot really say that I am thrilled to watch it. I guess I am not satisfied. While the story was explored in the movie, it is not as exciting as I thought it would be. Or maybe I just got used to The Avengers? I mean am I looking for such standard in superhero movies?
I am not a movie critic. If ever, I judge a film by how it stimulates my emotions. And honestly, this movie does not excite me at all. And it does not help that I felt cheated by the fact that this is reboot. Oh well.
By the way, this is the first time that I saw Emma Stone as a blonde girl. Hubby says that is her natural hair color. Imagine that? But I think she is more appealing as a brunette. 😀 Or maybe because I am just used to her being a brunette.
The Amazing Spider-Man also stars Denis Leary (Captain Stacy), Martin Sheen (Uncle Ben), Sally Field (Aunt May), Irrfan Khan (Rajit Ratha), Campbell Scott (Richard Parker), and Embeth Davidtz (Mary Parker). Directed by Marc Webb.
How about you? Have you watched The Amazing Spider-Man already? What do you think about it?
Such an amazing part of every episode, very emotional at the end, which is just normal I guess
