The Education Act: A Need

The country’s educational landscape is changing. With these changes, we need policies that affirm not just the principles of academic freedom and equal access to education. We also need laws that are crafted with educating the young Filipino learner at the center of the journey. Additionally, the community and all stakeholders should contribute to the process in a collective effort.

This is Atty. Estrada’s second book on his field of expertise. In terms of style and the overall creative process behind its completion, the author said, “now there’s more involvement in the whole process. What we have here is really a collaborative process, a team of legal experts, each with their own fields of specialization, guiding me to provide not just rigor, vision, and clarity to the various issues and their different facets and dimensions, but also a sense of purpose for the project.”

He added that he felt grateful that he “had the pleasure of being taken good care of by a leading publishing company.”

A Necessary Step

As a father of three, Atty. Estrada believes that the book is a necessary step toward securing the future generations. He believes that the young learners today will continue in building the nation forward. “This will help future generations. It will inspire more advocates for education, and we badly need them in the society,” said Atty. Estrada.

According to the author, the book is a good material for policy makers, in Congress, or in the Senate. It provides readers with the legal information they would need to craft education laws and initiate educational reforms. The proper laws and reforms will eventually help in the process of national development.
