How did you spend your time during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic? For actor and performer Dan Delgado, it is honing his skills and keeping his passions burning. Learn more about what he had been doing.
Who is Dan Delgado and What Has He Been Doing
For a lot of us, the past months of community quarantine mean less work or even no work at all. We got more time to rest, more time to reset, and more time to explore new things.
But for some, this has become an opportunity to reconnect with their passion and reignite the fire within them.
The past months have been really tough for most of us due to the multiple depressing scenarios brought by the year 2020. However, that shouldn’t necessarily dim out inspiring stories of people. These are the people who have been dedicating their time, efforts, and talent to uplift other people.
One of them is the aspiring actor and former BidaMan contestant Dan Delgado. He used his free time to reconnect with his passion and started sharing his skill with people around him.
On Sharing his Passion to Inspire others
Dan Delgado also had his fair share of struggles brought about by this pandemic. He acknowledged that everyone has been emotionally and mentally affected by these unprecedented times.
For this reason, he had decided to offer free online dance lessons for kids. And in doing so, it is his goal to bring positivity in these difficult times.
“It was a really great experience. You get to see how eager kids are to learn, and you see their growth from the start to finish. Dance is also a great way for them to let loose, learn, and enjoy throughout the pandemic.”
A passion that is kept a secret is meaningless, and Dan always knew that his talent needs to be shared and be seen for it to be meaningful. He wants to keep his passion alive and actually mean something to people around him, that’s why he takes responsibility for it and started sharing it with people.
“The love for dancing and performing is my biggest asset and it is something that I wish to pursue to continue inspiring people around me.”
On the Effect of the Pandemic
Just like most of us, Dan struggles to find work opportunities during the lockdown period. He always believes that it is important to be flexible and to develop our ability to adapt to any given situation.
“What I have realized the most in this pandemic is to adapt in any given circumstances. I don’t think any of us expected these things to happen so it is a matter of adjusting to the situation.”
Currently, aside from being an online dance coach, Dan also worked as a Licensed Financial Advisor and had few performances in the noontime show, It’s Showtime.
Before the pandemic, Dan is slowly building his name as an actor and a performer in the local entertainment scene, however, everything is seemingly on hold now due to the pandemic. With his right mindset, admirable set of talents, and a strong support system, Dan knows that he will reach his goal in no time.
“Being an up-and-coming artist, I guess the most challenging part is having to build your brand for yourself. I am lucky that I have a full team that supports me throughout this journey.”
On Getting Real in Front and Behind the Camera
Dan describes himself as laid back, easy to get along with, and a cozy guy who enjoys the simple joys in life. But more than that, Dan, who is now ready to conquer the bustling and ambition-filled world of showbiz, knows how to embrace his passion and continues sharing it with the rest of the world.
