Aside from real estate and property management, Megaworld is known for championing good food. They are also proponents of the farm to table practice as well as fair trade.
Megaworld is Synonymous to Excellence
Philippine property giant Megaworld Corporation has always practiced excellence in what they do. They build some of the country’s scenic townships, change landscapes, and alter lifestyles for the better.
With every community that they build, they complete the scene with verdant surroundings while operating with premier amenities.
But another thing that makes Megaworld communities stand out is the presence of top of the line dining establishments worthy of every foodie’s visit.
Megaworld Hotels
By this time, Megaworld has several hotel brands under their name. They recently opened Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown and Belmont Hotel Boracay, which is just beside Savoy Hotel Boracay. Their hotels boast of premium restaurant offerings that are not only IG-worthy but are also lip-smacking good.
That is because they always have the finest people to man the job. Experienced chefs develop menus that can please even the most discriminating palates. Meanwhile, their well-trained staff ensure that every detail on each dish is executed according to its design. Even the chocolate chip cookies from Savoy Hotel Manila are just the most comforting.
Recently, the Granary at Richmonde Hotel in Iloilo revamped their menu and it now features vibrant versions of popular dishes like paella negra, crispy malabon, and salmon eggs benedict.
This restaurant also has some of the best breakfast croissants and award-winning banana bread and ensaymada.
Locally Sourced Ingredients
But what makes Megaworld food outlets stand out is their extensive use of abundant as well as seasonal local ingredients in their dishes. For example, seafood may be found in several of the dishes at the Savoy Hotel Boracay because different kinds of seafood are aplenty in the island.
Since most of the ingredients are sourced locally, the company patronizes local producers and farmers and gives them a fair value for their merchandise. It’s a win for everybody. Moreover, there’s less carbon footprint in the production of their beautiful culinary creations, as there is less need for the transport of goods.
Growing Vegetables in The Backyard
Furthermore, Megaworld continues to be the industry leader because of the innovations they come up with each and every development.
In a couple of years’ time, the company is opening a premier boutique hotel at The Upper East. Designed by Architect Dominic Galicia, it promises to be another landmark in Bacolod City because of its “adaptive reuse” of the old guest house of the Bacolod-Murcia Milling Company.
Aside from its design, we were told that the hotel is envisioned to become the next preferred foodie hangout. Whether for banquets or just casual dining, the Upper East Hotel hotel will feature lavish menus top-billing locally sourced ingredients.
They will also be setting up gardens and green houses that will enable them to grow their own vegetables. This is going to be part of their well-rounded and sustainable hotel operations.
Well Thought Out
Megaworld has planned their communities to be sustainable, eco-friendly, and world-class. Bacolod City has already seen a glimpse of future developments and in a few years, many of the plans will already come into fruition. As the demand for dining and events increase, we will have more restaurants and dining outlets that will give better livelihood to local producers.
