Blogging had always been something that I did since 1998. While my blogging back then consisted merely of my personal thoughts, this had evolved to become platform for me to promote campaigns while earning on the side.

This endeavor had been particularly game changing for me, especially after I became a mom. I wanted to stay at home and become a full time mom and blogging was an outlet for me. It became a venue to express my opinion, update friends about our happenings as a family, and also earn from the side. While taking care of my little one, I hoped to be able to bring in some dough that will add to the family budget. And it did, whether in cash or in kind.

Some companies have already recognized the influence of my blog and my person and have tapped me for some of their campaigns. But for the first time, I was made to travel to Manila from my home base in Bacolod to attend this huge gathering of bloggers—that is the Blogapalooza, which happened last November 5 at the Novotel Manila Araneta Center and is co-presented by ATC Healthcare, makers of FatOut.

The Blogapalooza, now on its fifth year, is perhaps the biggest business to blogger event where companies open up themselves to possible collaborations with different bloggers who are compatible with their niche. The event hopes to serve the interests of both bloggers and businesses.

This year, Blogapalooza Horizons 2.0 leveled up because for the first time, they flew in bloggers from the Visayas and Mindanao. The blogger groups represented were the Negros Bloggers, Iloilo Bloggers, Cebu Bloggers, CDO Bloggers, Bukidnon Bloggers, Iligan Bloggers, Socsargen, and Davao Bloggers. And I am just happy to be part of this historical event.

#LetsBuzzIn

What made this year more special is the launch of the #LetsBuzzIn or www.letsbuzzin.com. It is a platform for both companies and bloggers to connect with each other, which Blogamomma Ace Gapuz says is like Blogapalooza happening 365 days a year.

Both companies and influencers can choose their log in because both have different sets of parameters to fill in.

The website was launched during the Blogapalooza but is yet to be rolling anytime soon.

  1. Hello, I registered at LETSBUZZIN a few days ago and even sent them email, but nothing happened so far. Is it actually up and running? I have quite some traffic on my Tagalog health websites and I would like to monetize it better. Obvioulsy, philippine advertisers would be best for the 90% philippine traffic. Do you earn with LETSBUZZIN? Thanks for help.
