If you are looking for a Bacolod cafe that serves your family or barkada’s all-time favorite treats that are easy on the pocket in a rustic setting? Then look no further than Viber Cafe, the newest player among home-grown Bacolod restaurants.

Viber Cafe is owned by Chef Jhun Celis of the Virgelio’s Grill fame, the cheapest home-style buffet in Bacolod. He opened this cafe serving all-time favorites like pizza, pasta, burger, salads, and other Mexican favorites. They have fresh fruit shakes and coffee, too. They also have a simple eat-all-you-can halo-halo bar for only P90. Starting next week, they will be serving breakfast as well.

Wines at Viber Cafe
Another nice thing about Viber Cafe is that they serve wines by the glass or by the bottle. If you can’t finish the entire wine bottle, they will write your name on the bottle and you can have it again the next time you come back to dine there. Gives you a sense of home, doesn’t it? You may choose to have wine with or after your hearty meal or just have your unwind time there while nibbling on some nachos or tortillas or pizza. You can dine inside where it is air conditioned (air conditioning system still being fixed as of this writing) or outside, where you can opt to smoke.

Chef Jhun has his own farm where he grows pigs, cows, goats, and even vegetables and herbs, which is the reason why he can bring the cost down. Most of the materials used at the cafe, like the nachos, tortillas, pizza dough, and even the burger buns are prepared at the commissary. Eventually, there will come a time when this will be a full farm to table resto kind of place.

Here are the rest of the dishes we tried at Viber Cafe during the soft opening, courtesy of Chef Jhun. Please don’t expect too much from the place as they are still refining some elements in the restaurant, but surely they will have an additional air conditioning unit installed in the next few days. But as for the food, no doubt, Chef Jhun nailed it!

Eat all you can halo halo bar is P90.

Viber Cafe has a rustic vibe because of the use of elements that were once part of a building or a room. You can also see blow up photos of him and his son. Check out the quaint place.
