No, it is not a new song, the TV show (though it sure sounds like it), or a real escape from prison. This is about using your treasured iPhone for quite some time and you are already getting sick and tired with the same old apps that you just want to break free from its limiting apps. hahaha
Now, if you are one of the many who feel this way, then maybe it is time for your jailbreak.
It cannot be denied that Apple has included so many innovative features to the iPhone. However, after some time, I have hear of people getting bored because you cannot use the unit outside of the parameters set by the manufacturer. Sure you can watch movies and listen to music with your iPhone, but if you would want to try something new, then you can upgrade, tinker, play, or improve your existing unit only after you have removed the boundaries set by Apple. And there are just so many interesting apps outside of the world of Apple.
But you cannot do that without unlocking your phone or without doing a jailbreak. With that said, that is the only way to get out of the limitations that Apple has imposed.
While a jailbreak is good, it is not a good idea if your iPhone is still under warranty from the time you bought it at the store or got it from the phone company for your subscription. The warranty will be voided and if problems arise with your unit, you will have to pay for the parts and services needed to restore it. You no longer have the privileges covered in the warranty.
So if you want to do more with your iPhone, then be brave and have a jailbreak. Just make sure that you are already out of the warranty when you do this or at least you are willing to shoulder repairs when necessary. Or maybe, if you yourself know how to fix your phone if something happens.
