The House of Kipling opened its doors in Bacolod City. The new Kipling Store at the ground floor of the SM City Bacolod north wing extension may as well be called a haven, a hang-out, a home for bag lovers!
It’s called “The House of Kipling”, where shoppers can dwell in the fashion and spirit that have made Kipling bags a well-loved, sought-after global brand. According to the press release from the company, the new Kipling concept store applies a domestic approach that elevates the customers’ “retail experience”. As you can see from the photos, guests are greeted with warm, homey interiors made from an eclectic mix of natural and clean textures inside the House of Kipling. The interior is surrounded by the signature tile wall with the iconic monkey print. The color palette plays along the shades of taupe and greys, plus an occasional pop of orange and pink. Additionally, the Flemish inspired wall tiles and signature “Kipling Monkey” table legs bring to life the playful spirit and the European heritage of the renowned brand.
Perched on sleek ceramic and wooden frames, drawers, and gondolas are the store’s main attraction. These are the hottest collections of handbags, totes, carry-alls, backpacks, and luggage in various shapes, materials, sizes, and prints. There are also clusters of colorful mirrors that aid clients in envisioning themselves strutting with their favorite Kipling bags. They also have some bright, polychromatic poufs that offer comfortable seats, should the customers get a little tired from bag fitting and shopping.
One element worthy of note is their counter area. Reflecting Kipling’s desire to encourage discovery and exploration, the concept store also features what they call the “Whimsy Wall”. As you can see in the photo below, it is the wall backing behind the cashier. It is where ideas, inspirations, special moments, and messages can be posted and shared so that the store and customers can connect and become an engaged community. It is this personal touch that interested me the most during my first visit at the concept store, Sigrid Says.
The House of Kipling in Bacolod City has put together all these nice and homey elements in order to let the shoppers experience a personal and intimate feel of Kipling bags. After all, people and bags share such an intimacy, as these will be their companions to work, play, and travel.
Kipling is also inviting everyone to see the monkey at its new concept stores at SM Aura in Bonifacio Global City, SM Clark in Pampanga, The District North Point in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, and the newest one at the expansion area of SM City Bacolod.
I like Kipling bags, especially their playful colors and designs. Good thing they have a store now in the north wing of SM Bacolod compared to just the small stall it used to have near the escalator.
I visited Kipling recently. With the new store they can do better merchandising. My Sis were so happy with the pouch..(you know what i mean…Lol).:)
