Cebu Pacific will fly to Guam from Manila starting March 15, 2016. This is their first US destination.

Cebu Pacific Air, the Philippines’ leading carrier, is slated to launch their first US destination. Yes, starting March 15, 2016, Cebu Pacific will fly to Guam 4x weekly.

The airline kicked off the Guam route announcement with P2,500 all-in seats that was available until November 29, 2015 or until seats lasted. Travel dates are from March 15 to November 30, 2016. After the introductory seat sale, CEB all-in fares to Guam start from P7,197, which is still up to 40% lower than other airlines.

“Having Guam in our network sets us off on another expansion path across the Pacific. With the launch of Guam, our introductory fare is up to 83% lower than other airlines. Fares this low can only mean more tourists for both countries, more Filipinos visiting home, and more opportunities for everyone,” said CEB President and CEO Lance Gokongwei.

CEB’s Guam route will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and will make use of the airline’s brand-new Airbus A320 fleet. Flights to Guam will depart at 3:45am and arrive at 10:15am. The Guam-Manila flight will depart Guam at 12:30pm and arrive in Manila at 2:55pm. From Manila, passengers can utilize CEB’s extensive network in the Philippines to domestic destinations.

“We are excited that Cebu Pacific Air is launching its new flight service to our island from Manila early next year,” said Guam Visitors Bureau General Manager Nathan Denight. “This is an exciting opportunity to further connect the Philippines and Guam. It will also help grow our visitor arrivals and give travelers a chance to experience all the various signature events, activities and sights that can be found only on Guam.”

The launch of the Guam route and seat sale were timely for those who wish to catch the 4th Guam International Marathon and Guam Live International Music Festival (April), Festival of Pacific Arts (May), Electric Island Festival (June), Guam BBQ Block Party (July), and 2016 Shop Guam Festival (November). In the meantime, the Philippines also kicks off its Visit Philippines Again 2016, after a successful Visit Philippines Year 2015 campaign.

With this new addition, CEB’s network now spans 64 destinations on 98 routes, including international flights to Sydney, Doha, Beijing, Tokyo, Bali, and Dubai.

Congratulations, Cebu Pacific!
