METRO INN BACOLOD

Metro Inn Bacolod along 6th-Lacson St., Bacolod.

Whenever we pass by at the Metro Inn along 6th St., my youngest daughter who is still 1 year old would often exclaim, “Look Mom! So pretty!” That is because Metro Inn Bacolod is brightly lighted with different colored LED lights that it looks so attractive, even from afar. Actually, it looks beckoning.

We won an overnight stay at Metro Inn during a raffle and we were happy to be able to stay in their DeLuxe Matrimonial room. Just as it is flashy and colorful on the outside, so it is in the inside. When you step into the lobby, you will find that it is a traveler’s haven. The place is comfortable and spacious, but more than that, you will find curious items that can only be sourced out from travels here and there and everywhere. And that includes a life-sized golden statue probably from Thailand. I’m guessing.

The lobby looks more like a small living room from a Victorian home.
The reception area.

The friendly front desk staff are framed behind a big wooden desk with a bright blue mosaic background. When you go around, you will see that every nook and cranny has decor–even the walls have prominent wall hangings designed by famed Bacolod artist and fellow blogger, Jojo Vito. The predominant color is gold and one word only comes to mind in their decor–opulence.

This golden sun surrounds the round lighting case on the ceiling.

Their rooms have a solid, heavy door powered with a key card swiper. When we went inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the red-painted wall by the headboard. I didn’t know that a certain kind of red could really look nice for a wall and I am getting ideas. haha

Metro Inn Bacolod Amenities

Their room has the basics–a wide screen TV, hot and cold shower, a mini bar, electric kettle, hair dryer, and the necessities. They have a gym for the health buff and a roof deck where you can unwind at the end of the day with a nice drink. They also have function rooms for small parties and big events that can seat up to 150. It is actually a nice place. They have an in-house restaurant, too. My kids loved Metro Inn. They also have free to connect wifi in every floor! How cool is that? It is comfortable and clean. And since it’s new, it smells good! haha Yeah, no dank smell of old hotels here.

The gym is small but boasts of several modern exercise equipment.
The restaurant.

Metro Inn boasts of warm service, comfortable and well-appointed rooms, and most of all, it is near the most famous Bacolod restaurants and cafes. It is also walking distance to those Bacolod favorite dessert place for a real #Bacolodeats tour!

Metro Inn has a total of 27 rooms, from the suite rooms to the deluxe rooms. Call (63) (34) 435 1818 or visit their website http://metroinnbacolod.com/.

They have ornate wrought-iron stairs gilded in gold.

These two wash basins by the Piazza gym are beautiful.
A similar sight greets you every floor.
