Summer 2017 has official hit and it is a big thing among all of us because then we can have a more flexible wardrobe, allowing us to bare some sexy parts that we have worked so hard to tone.
This season, SM Woman has identified five style trends that are a sure hit whether on the beach, at the mall, or even for casual partying at night. Last week, they held a style edit for young ladies–from teens to middle aged, single and married, some with kids, and all with different heights and body types. Fashion blogger, host, and Cebu-based celebrity Blinky de Leon hosted the event and gave style tips to the ladies who joined. The best put-together ensembles won P1,500 worth of gift certificates from the SM Store. This is being true to their statement: Fashion for every woman.
Top 5 Summer 2017 Style Trends
Blinky says that the current trends feature feminine lines but mostly in solid colors. There’s a lot of off shoulder stuff and short shorts or skirts to show off those long legs. But here are the top 5 trends that are a hit everywhere this summer.
White. Nobody goes wrong with white. Whether for day or night look, dainty white will make our girl look bright and bubbly. One of the winners of the style challenge at the SM Store wore a white dress accentuated with a floral scarft for a boho look.
Botanical. Perhaps the only prints to be included in this year’s trend is the botanical print. It is not just flowers but artworks of colorful plants, leaves, branches, or shrubs that are featured. So summery.
Blue and white. What doesn’t grow old for summer is the blue and white combination for the nautical look. But the nautical look does not anymore include rather masculine designs but purely all feminine shapes in the blue and white combo.
Black. Whether for parties or on the beach, black is still a hit. A colorful two-piece swimsuit in sheer black cover ups will surely turn heads.
Romantic. There is nothing like the summer breeze to up the ante for romance. Off-shoulders, straps, fringes, and backless clothes enhance the atmosphere for romance.
All the clothes modeled here are all available at the SM Woman Department of the SM Store. Be sure to check them out. Here in Bacolod City, SM Woman is located on the 2nd floor of the SM Store.
